Today I'm going to write about my friend Nicole.
I am so lucky to have a friend I have known since I was 11 years old. She probably doesn't know this but I am thankful to have had her in my life so long. We hardly ever get to talk but we have been good at keeping up through e-mails. (Which I always look forward to.)
As kids and teenagers she never went behind my back and said mean things. She always went along with all the stupid things I wanted to do, even though sometimes we would get into trouble. She has always been one of the most optimistic people I know. I appreciate that she is never passive aggressive or tries to one up me. And I feel that she genuinely cares about me and my family. I can't imagine that we would ever not be friends. I think our piscean souls will always be connected. So I would like to say thank you to my oldest friend. You are the best!

Families are a wonderful thing. They are always there when you need them and even when you don't. I watch my kids argue and fight all day long, but I know in years to come they will always be there for each other. Looking out for and taking care of each other. I love that my kids love their cousins. They ask every day if they can play together. They are their favorite people. It's sooo cute. I hope that they will always be close and be their for each other. The more people you have on your side in life the better. It's always nice to know, that in your hardest times, they are always there to listen and talk you through it.
Go Families!

I am sometimes amazed at people.

I must say people do not shock me very often. But when they do it is usually out of no where. Sometimes I am shocked by their decency, but what shocks me the most is people going out of there way to say or do something tacky or rude. I don't ever see that one comming. Maybe I expect to much out of people. I personally find it hard to be mean to people on purpose. When it seems to happen more than once in a short while it makes me think I am suppose to be learning something. I wonder what my learning is today...

I must say doing this whole blog thing is a little difficult. It has taken me hours just to figure out how to put music to this. I am not as computer smart as I wish I was. So this is a tester.

This is my first post and it's all for posterity. (thanks to mindie for motivating me)

When I think of our life, I see it like this...

We walk head high in tall grass. We are making our own path. Sometimes we need a machete, other times we are on a ride on lawn mower. We know there is a paved path. Sometimes we see it and wave to the people on it. Sometimes we even walk along side of it. Occasionaly we run into people who are also making there own paths and we walk with them for awhile. But mostly we are lost in the tall grass seeing nothing ahead and our own path behind us. It is not always perfect, but it is our path and we always try to enjoy the adventure.

We are Amy and Myke (the grass cutters)
Grandma (the supporter)
Kyler, Katie, Jonas and Samuel (the reasons why we do what we do).
